Cross Country Trip, June & July 2022 (15/180)

From June 13 - July 15 we drove 8,001 miles through 21 states!  We visited 2 Great Lakes, many rivers, 6 National Parks, and two branches of our family.  We only stayed in a hotel once, after a car breakdown far from any appropriate campground with electricity since it was too hot to go without air conditioning.

Here are pictures, with annotations.

W Graduated!

Because of our travel plans, we needed to wrap our homeschool year up a bit earlier than usual this season.  So, the last entry before this one was the last one that got into the portfolios.  Here are a few more things that happened before our Big Trip!

R continued attending Boat Build, culminating in a Launch day:

D & J attended the final field day at MAHC and practiced music:

The community pool opened and we went with friends:

We had a too close encounter with a bat (in our house, flying around while most of us slept).  We learned all about CDC and health department and DNR requirements for dealing with such a thing so as not to get rabies.  Fortunately, the bat tested negative for rabies so we didn't need to take any further steps!  J wrote a letter to her grandparents sharing about this:

All the kids were evaluated for the end of the school year, and W graduated!

J performed in her end-of-year showcase with Philadelphia Dance Theater:

W was recognized in a Bridging Ceremony at church, and J participated in a Stepping Stone ceremony ditto:

D & J attended a Phoenixville Pride event:
