Fairy houses and ice cream at the pool (180 + 11 weeks)

D and J made a fairy house in our yard:


All the kids attended their MAHC classes.  Here are D and J in Fairytale Cooking, with corn on the cob and homemade butter to go with two stories from the southern part of Africa:


W attended his Teen Program classes.  D went to circus.  J went to ballet.

D and J went to the library.  R went bowling and laser tagging.

Our neighborhood pool opened, although there were thunderstorms so we didn't get in a lot of actual swimming:


D and J attended their religious education classes.

W, R and D worked with LOF.  W read independently.  R read with support, completing I Survived the American Revolution, 1776 (I Survived #15)I Survived the American Revolution, 1776 by Lauren Tarshis.  D and J practiced reading.

Spider's Web (180 + 10 weeks)

Somehow, I forgot to include mention of last Sunday's Stepping Stone program recognition and service for D.  She took part in this 6 week program to learn about our faith and helped create a Children's Chapel for the other children.  D introduced and led two songs during the chapel service.  Here she is being recognized in the larger worship service:


R went to Parkour.

W went to his Teen Program classes.  D went to Circus.  J went to Ballet.  W went to D and D.

We went to the School Free Players production of Agatha Christie's Spider's Web.  It was great!

Talent Show! (180 + 9 weeks)

R went to parkour.

All the kids went to their new MAHC classes.  W is taking Current Events, Yearbook, and Movie Class.  R is taking Current Events, Teen/Tween Storytime, and Movie Class.  D is taking Air Dry Clay, Fairytale Cooking, and Spring Read-Alouds.  J is extremely stoked to be taking not only her 4s & 5s class, but also participating in the Fairytale Cooking class I am teaching, along with her best friend.

W attended his Teen Coop program.  He played D and D several times.  D went to circus, J went to Ballet.

They all attended the MAHC talent show!  J was the only one brave enough to perform (in two separate sets!)


R, D and J attended their religious education program.

R turns 12! (180 + 8 weeks)

R went to parkour.

All the kids attended their MAHC classes. It was the last week of this session.


R turned 12!  He celebrated with a bunch of friends including nerf guns, water guns, slip-and-slide, and cupcakes and ice cream.



W attended Teen coop.  He played D and D.  D attended circus and J attended ballet.

We went on the MAHC camping trip.  Fires, rope swings, boulder field, and much hiking occurred!






W, R and D worked with LOF.

W read independently.  R read independently.  D and J practiced reading.

D worked with Handwriting Without Tears and J worked with Explode the Code.
