D and J were inspired to do some sewing. They made matching eye-pillows for J and a teddy bear:
R took an Outschool class on Behavior and Learning Psychology.
D went to circus!
We went to Valley Forge. We visited the cabins and Washington's Headquarters (where Wolfy would not have been able to stand upright - he would have been tall in 1778!) and took a hike by the stream.
J went to hip hop and ballet.
W participated in leading a worship service.
All the kids went to their religious education classes. Here are D and R demonstrating interdependence by running (and winning) a 3-legged race.
W and R worked with LOF. The girls played addition card games.
W read independently. R read with support. D practiced reading. J mastered
Rub-a-Dub by Bobby Lynn Maslen. R practiced spelling, D worked with Handwriting Without Tears, and J worked with Explode the Code.W worked with Khan Academy Art History, walked, and cooked regularly.
I read to the girls:
No Hugs for Porcupine by Zoe Waring
Luna and Me: The Story of Julia Butterfly Hill by Jenny Sue Kostecki-Shaw
I Hear a Pickle: and Smell, See, Touch, & Taste It, Too! by Rachel Isadora
Bath Time by Eileen Spinelli
Elena's Serenade by Campbell Geeslin
This week included 7 days of instruction.
