Coming of Age (180 + 6 weeks)

R went to Parkour.

D, J and W rode the local trains.  W is babysitting and our goal is for him to be able to get to the job and back on the train independently.



All the kids attended their MAHC classes.  D made cupcakes with beet-colored frosting, to accommodate classmates with sensitivities to food coloring in her Tea Time with Beatrix Potter class:



We completed our first draft design for our MAHC t-shirt:



W attended his Teen Program and played D and D several times

J went to ballet


and D went to circus.

W completed his Coming of Age program year.  He participated in leading the recognition worship service by lighting the chalice and speaking joys and sorrows for the congregation.  He also presented his Credo, or statement of belief.  The other kids attended the service to honor him!  Before hand we had some exploratory play in the woods.





W, R, and D worked with LOF.  D worked with Handwriting Without Tears and J worked with Explode the Code.

W read independently.  R practiced reading, completing his first full-length chapter book (he read part, we read part each day:
