Robin attended his religious education class, which focused on the ancient historical roots of the game of Chutes & Ladders. I read to him: Monster Stew by Mitra Modarressi
Robin went for a walk and exercised.

Wednesday, July 23: 9/180

Robin created a tie-dye shirt with glow-in-the-dark stenciled designs. He went swimming, built fires, and played role-playing games.

Tuesday, July 22: 8/180

Robin went for an hour long trail ride on a horse! He went swimming. And played role-playing games.

Monday, July 21: 7/180

Robin climbed Old Rag Mountain. He went swimming.

We went to see the Commonwealth Classic Theatre production of Twelfth Night by Shakespeare. Robin exercised.

Sunday, July 13: 4/180

Robin attended his religious education class, which focused on trees and their place in the web of life.

With his siblings, Robin found very small frogs in a stream and observed them closely.

Robin went for a hike and exercised.

Friday, July 11: 3/180

Robin worked with Saxon Math 3.

He finished Letters and Numbers for Me Grade K by Jan Z. Olsen

And we used Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons.

Robin worked really hard on Letters and Numbers for Me Grade K by Jan Z. Olsen
 - he wanted to finish it in one day, the way his brother did, but he didn't quite make it.

He did go for a bike ride.

And work with his brother on learning to make in-game videos in Minecraft.

We officially began our 'school' year today!

Robin began working with Math 3 Home Study Kit: Teacher's Edition by Nancy Larson

This is our year to focus on getting Robin reading!  We started with: Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons by Siegfried Engelmann

and

Letters and Numbers for Me Grade K by Jan Z. Olsen

I read to Robin:

Wings by Sneed B. Collard III

and

Who's In My Family?: All About Our Families by Robie H. Harris

Robin exercised and went swimming!

Vacation: June & early July

We did quite a lot of fun and educational stuff in June and early July, so here is a summary.

We finished our year with MAHC, and attended their annual camping trip at Hickory Run State Park, which included visiting the boulder field, a geologic wonder.
