Out of Eden
Robin worked with Saxon Math 1.
Part of the lesson was about sorting food items. Instead of the suggestion to sort according to where things would be shelved in the grocery store, we sorted by food groups (our own: protein, carbohydrate, fruits/veggies, other, and combo).
Robin read a Bob Book, and I read to him.
Including this: http://outofedenwalk.nationalgeographic.com/2013/01/22/lets-walk/ - the first dispatch from the guy who is walking from Ethiopia to Tierra Del Fuego over the course of 7 years.

Skiing!
Robin went skiing at Jack Frost Big Boulder! Skiing is an expensive hobby, but our homeschool co-op group put together a big enough group to go for about half the usual price. Robin skiied all day, in very cold weather, and especially enjoyed the terrain park.

"Can I read that book instead of doing my word sheet?"
Robin worked with Saxon Math 1 today.
We went to the library. While we were there I asked Robin if he was ready to try reading the very easy phonics readers we tried for a while last year (but which he was really frustrated with at the time.) He said yes - and then he read three of them at the library and one when he got home. He still wants to guess what the words are by looking at the pictures, but he is clearly much better able to figure out what the word is when I prompt him to read it instead. Yay! I read to him.
Including a book about Earth Day.
And one about African tribes.

Rainbow Tag
Robin attended his MAHC classes today:
Laugh-Along Silly Songs
Chess Club
and
Youth-Led Musical Theatre.
And played active games such as Capture the Flag, Zombie Tag, and Rainbow Tag. On Rainbow Tag: "everybody goes on one side of the tree stump and then there's one person who calls out a color and if you're wearing that color, you have to run to the other side of wherever you're playing. Then if you get tagged by the caller, you're not a caller but you get to help tag the people who are running when the caller calls. If you get to the other side of the field without getting tagged that means you made it but then they call another color and you run back the other way. Once everybody is tagged you start over or stop playing."
